Practicing pit changes.... I suggested (as I sipped on a coffee watching) that they should push the car around for a whole lap... just to get the real feel of driving into the pits at speed... hehehe.... the looks I got could not be photographed...LOL

Which circuit is this?

SuziQ says:

It's Sandown, in Melbourne. The Sandown 500 is one of the big events... I guess after the F1 GP in Melbourne it's the next biggest race car event. Across Australia... it's in the top ten... it is the lead up race to the big boys race at Bathurst in NSW.

I have known Jack since he was a little tacker (his dad used to race too so he has grown up at the track) so it is weird to think he is old enough to dink...LOL

It's weird when they grow up isn't it? :)

I used to love watching the Bathurst race with all teh RS500 Sierra Cosworths and Dick Johnson going down conrod straight at umpteen mph, It would be the one touring car race of the year from Australia that used to get shown over here.

I have worked at Bathurst a couple of times... both trackside and admin... it's an awesome track....the TV doesn't do it justice compared to driving around it... it's incrredibly steep... that's on in a couple of weeks :)
ahhh I remember the sierras and all the furore they created...LOL... we are back to the traditional V8 rivalries between ford and holden

The Cosworths were just awesome. Still the sound of V8 thundering along is a fairly sweet noise.
